The round 4 1/2inch floats for the ballcock are made of plastic and are easy to install and can be replaced. Ballcock float is essential as it controls the flow of water. As the water rises the float also rises and activates a lever which then shuts the valve. Ballcock prevents any water from being wasted and flowing over.
