Contractor Grade Torch on mineral felt is commonly used in combination with a 2mm underlay and plywood to create a reliable, durable and weathertight flat roof. It is applied by being rolled out across the roof and heated with a blow torch, melting the lower layer of felt and essentially welding it to the roof. It consists of a waterproof bituminous sheet with a self-protected layer of mineral. The mineral finish of the upper surface gives the membrane UV-resistance.
